Creamy Paleo Chicken Skillet.

One of my job requirements is FILLING MY CUP FIRST. This isn’t just with fitness... This is in ALL areas of my life, including the most important area - my brain. —
When I first started my journey, my brain is what needed the biggest transformation. I was SUPER negative. I used to rip myself apart over everything - my personality, my looks, my intelligence, the list goes on and on. I am not sure what stage in my life caused me to be this way, but I knew it needed to STOP. I knew that I could never be TRULY happy unless I fixed this area in my life. —
Fast forward to coaching...The VERY first thing I was taught as a coach was Personal Development. Now, that name is HORRID, but truly everyone (coach or NOT) needs Personal Development in their life. I was told I needed to read (or listen) to Personal Development for at least 10 minutes a day. I never questioned it... I though that’s odd but okay I’ll do it. THIS is when my life changed for the better. THIS is when I became the best version of myself. —
Taking care of your mind is the FIRST and MOST important step in your journey of LIFE. Not just in fitness... Not just in your job... Not just in your relationships... BUT IN LIFE. If you don’t believe in you, how can you expect anyone else to believe in you? If you don’t LOVE you, how can you expect anyone else to love you? God designed everyone with special talents and gifts. YOU have to believe that, and sometimes we all need a little push. Personal Development is that push. I challenge you to read or listen to 10 minutes of BRAIN FUEL a day. I GET life is busy, but you can listen while you fold the laundry, do the dishes, workout, etc. I promise you won’t regret it!

I got so many questions last night about the pork loin I made for dinner Monday.  Was it easy? How’d you make it? Etc. Etc.  Yesss!  It was so simple!  So I made a short little video for y’all so you could see how easy it was!  Oh, and here’s the recipe again in case you missed the post!

It was so simple too!  Here’s what I did:
1.35 lb pork tenderloin, cut in half 
2 tsp salt
2 tsp cracked black pepper 
2 tsp garlic powder 
1 tbs olive oil
.

.
Directions:
Set oven to 450.  Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder and oregano all over pork, on both sides.  Let rest for 15 minutes while oven comes up to temp.  In a hot cast iron skillet, sear the pieces of pork until each side is deep brown.  Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for about 15 minutes (for a temp of 145, medium). If you prefer a little higher internal temp (160 was my sweet spot), just turn the oven off after the 15 minutes and leave the pork in for another 10-15 minutes. .

Remove pork from the oven, and let it rest for 10 minutes.  Slice into medallions and serve hot.

I’ve had the dreaded tummy bug that seems to be doing the rounds. Not only am I exhausted but I’m a tad anxious as this means 3 days no running 😒 (and no work!). Hoping this soup fixes me and also stays put 😐

Ich bin heute eigentlich ziemlich müde und ko ... der Muskelkater wurde heute direkt noch mal gefüttert, damit er ja keinen Hunger hat 😂🙈 daher war ich auch faul in der Küche ... etwas Gulasch aufgetaut ... dazu wieder die @kajnok Nudeln - weil es so schön schnell geht. If you don’t know already, I’m apart of an exclusive test group for a brand new program that just came out. Today is day 3, and it’s CRAZY how good I feel. When I took this photo this morning, I though wow this picture doesn’t reflect at ALL how I’m feeling on the inside. —
It’s crazy anytime we start a new journey we want the physical results NOW. If we don’t see the physical, we chalk it up that the program didn’t work and quit. Instead we need to focus more on how we FEEL. If you are fueling your body right and adding movement to your everyday life, the changes WILL come. You just have to be patient and TRUST the process. —

Stovetop Sweet Potato, Kale and Turkey Chili.

Ingredients:

1 lb. ground turkey
1/2 tsp salt, plus more to taste
1/2 cup onion, chopped
3 carrots, peeled and chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 14.5-oz. can diced tomatoes
3/4 cup chicken broth
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
1 cup chopped kale
Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions:

1. In a large skillet, cook the turkey over medium-high heat until browned, breaking up into small pieces with a spatula. Season with salt. Add the onion, carrots, & garlic to the pan & cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring often.

2. Add the sweet potatoes, tomatoes, broth, cumin, chili powder, & paprika to the pan & stir. Bring to a simmer & cover. Cook for 30-40 minutes until the potatoes are soft, stirring occasionally. Adjust salt to taste. Stir in the kale and cooked until wilted. Serve warm, garnished with fresh cilantro.

Сегодня расскажу тем, кто вдруг не в курсе, что же такое лактоза 🐄 🔸Лактоза - это сахар, который присутствует в молоке и молочных продуктах
🔸Лактоза - является углеводом, дисахаридом, а не белком, как почему-то-считают некоторые
🔸Для расщепления лактозы необходим фермент, который называется лактаза
🔸Лактоза расщепляется ферментом лактаза на глюкозу и галактозу, которые впитываются в тонкой кишке нашего прекрасного организма
🔸Лактоза собственно и называется дисахаридом, потому что состоит из двух моносахаридов : глюкозы и галактозы

Чем может быть опасна лактоза?

При снижении уровня фермента "лактаза" лактоза не расщепляется на глюкозу и галактозу, а остается в кишечнике в исходном виде, связывает воду и вызывает стремительные последствия неприятного содержания, более того, так как лактоза - это сахар, то бактерии, которые живут в кишечнике, начинают брожение лактозы, что в свою очередь вызывает вздутие живота. ✅ йогурт, кефир, творог и сыр имеют низкое содержание лактозы, если приготовлены они традиционным брожением, при котором бактерии переработали сахар в молочную кислоту

Кстати наши далекие предки почти поголовно страдали от непереносимости лактозы во взрослом возрасте, только 4 000 лет назад,  благодаря мутациям, которые оставляли выработку лактазы активной и во взрослом возрасте, на прапрапрабабушки и дедушки смогли употреблять молочную продукцию, пребывая уже не в младенческом возрасте, но до сих пор в некоторых странах люди уже в возрасте 3-4 лет не могут употреблять лактозу, более того и у нас с вами усваиваемость лактозы может падать с годами. 🔴недостаточная выработка фермента лактаза называется - гиполактазией

Интересный момент !

Если лактоза содержится в сладком продукте, например в сгущенке, то наш организм начинает этот продукт расщеплять с помощью еще одного фермента, который называется альфа-глюкозидазой, он вырабатывается в поджелудочной железе и в слизистой тонкого кишечника.
Значит, если наш организм воспримет продукт с лактозой, как сладкий, то, вероятно, проблем с его усвоением не будет🤔
Если продукт не подвергался термообработке,как например, сырое молоко, то он содержит ферменты для самопереваривания

🔸Лактоза расщепляется ферментом лактаза на глюкозу и галактозу, которые впитываются в тонкой кишке нашего прекрасного организма
🔸Лактоза собственно и называется дисахаридом, потому что состоит из двух моносахаридов : глюкозы и галактозы

Чем может быть опасна лактоза?

При снижении уровня фермента "лактаза" лактоза не расщепляется на глюкозу и галактозу, а остается в кишечнике в исходном виде, связывает воду и вызывает стремительные последствия неприятного содержания, более того, так как лактоза - это сахар, то бактерии, которые живут в кишечнике, начинают брожение лактозы, что в свою очередь вызывает вздутие живота. ✅ йогурт, кефир, творог и сыр имеют низкое содержание лактозы, если приготовлены они традиционным брожением, при котором бактерии переработали сахар в молочную кислоту

Кстати наши далекие предки почти поголовно страдали от непереносимости лактозы во взрослом возрасте, только 4 000 лет назад,  благодаря мутациям, которые оставляли выработку лактазы активной и во взрослом возрасте, на прапрапрабабушки и дедушки смогли употреблять молочную продукцию, пребывая уже не в младенческом возрасте, но до сих пор в некоторых странах люди уже в возрасте 3-4 лет не могут употреблять лактозу, более того и у нас с вами усваиваемость лактозы может падать с годами. 🔴недостаточная выработка фермента лактаза называется - гиполактазией

Интересный момент !

Если лактоза содержится в сладком продукте, например в сгущенке, то наш организм начинает этот продукт расщеплять с помощью еще одного фермента, который называется альфа-глюкозидазой, он вырабатывается в поджелудочной железе и в слизистой тонкого кишечника.
Значит, если наш организм воспримет продукт с лактозой, как сладкий, то, вероятно, проблем с его усвоением не будет🤔
Если продукт не подвергался термообработке,как например, сырое молоко, то он содержит ферменты для самопереваривания

◻ Ralladura de la piel de un limón.

Whole30 day 11 lunch. Oke I needed to do some damage control after this morning's breakfast!! As yum as it was, there were way too many easy/simple carbs in that dish which makes me feel like crap (cranky, brain fog and really tired) now. Complex carbs are fine but this was an unpleasant experience!! Burping all morning and having acid reflux... that's what this whole30 is about as well; figuring out what food does to your body. Los sábados intento sacar tiempo y ganas para preparar un batch cooking, lo que viene a significar lavar, cortar y cocinar kilos de verduras para tenerlas listas durante la semana, y en los momentos de prisas, conseguir un plato completo en 10 minutos, sin poner la cocina patas arriba. En este caso, hice hamburguesas de caballa, brócoli, arroz de coliflor, ajo picado, pan de trigo sarraceno (@bylauragarcia), patatas y boniatos, y que no falten los huevos de gallinas felices 🙌🙌 On Saturdays I try to take time to prepare a batch cooking, which means to wash, cut and cook kilos of vegetables to have them ready during the week, so I can prepare a complete dish in 10 minutes. In this case, I made mackerel burgers, broccoli, cauliflower rice, chopped garlic, buckwheat bread (@bylauragarcia), potatoes and sweet potatoes, and do not miss the eggs of happy chickens 🙌🙌
