I love a good smoothie bowl! So to avoid any unwanted hidden additions I made my own. But no, it’s not what you’re thinking, there’s no açai in site! 👀 I made this one with half a frozen banana, baby spinach, blackberries and coconut/almond milk and topped it with fresh strawberries, frozen blueberries, cacao nibs and coconut. Delish! This one will definitely be a regular in my meal plan roster. So easy to prepare - freeze, blend, top. If you have any great smoothie bowl recipes, give me a holler!

Whole30 day 12 breakfast; I don't know how you guys are feeling but to be super duper honest I'm getting a bit tired of the program.. but these are the hardest days right?! The food is good but I'm starting to miss some healthy ingredients... and it bugs me that sleep feels more difficult now than it did before whole30 but maybe it gets worse before it gets better?! last night I had a dream about sourdough bread with butter, peanut butter and chocolate sprinkles, which I haven't eaten in 1,5 years, so that was weird... today I didn't feel like working out so I did 45 minutes of full body stretches which was really really nice! Thankful to have a hot non-egg breakfast choice, especially on these raining summer mornings. Simple-ish dinner of bunless burgers with basil aioli from @primal_gourmet.

Day 10.  #Progress.  Starting to lean out a wee bit and fit in my clothes a bit better.  Had to eat out today and promised the kid Taco Bell.  That was a nightmare.  Try ordering something and saying “no cheese, sour cream, beans or rice”. It was terrible but held me over till I could find a plate full of better quality #veggies. Day 15 of @whole30 and time to take stock. I have been incredibly disciplined in terms of only eating compliant foods - which I have managed to do without an issue. My skin looks better, my mood has been better, my sleep has been better and no migraines (so far). I’ve managed 7 HIIT workouts in the last 14 days (the first week was a write-off but now almost daily). However I am too reliant on fruit as a snack (and nuts) which feels like it may be hindering fat loss. And my intake has certainly cranked up these last couple of days - I think because I’ve been feeling viral and yuk. But better to reach for the pineapple than the bagel, right?? I’ve confirmed an intolerance of white potatoes - which is heartbreaking. But bring on the Tiger Blood tomorrow! 🍊Guys. I’m PAST THE HALFWAY POINT of #whole30. I’ve experienced SO many awesome changes. Today I finally had the energy to do some cardio.🏃🏼‍♀️All my reading suggests that this means my body is learning to use itself as an energy source, rather than relying on fast-acting carb and sugar sources.
I went to a party this past weekend armed with a huge bottle of sparkling water, which lasted approximately 29 minutes. Then I was stuck with water the rest of the night. I definitely missed the delicious craft beer that I could’ve had, but it wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. 🍻
I made my new FAVORITE recipe tonight courtesy of @alandony : Asian turkey lettuce wraps (I used bok choy and zucchini noodles). It was so so good and satisfied my craving for lo mein.
In other news, I’m drinking (and eating)so much water I think I’m wearing a hole in the carpet leading up to my bathroom. But that’s good! (At least I’m making it to the bathroom).
My cravings are few and far between. I feel so great and I think today I felt that #tigerblood everyone keeps talking about.🐯 oh and here’s a #lanabanana for funsies. 🐶

I made my new FAVORITE recipe tonight courtesy of @alandony : Asian turkey lettuce wraps (I used bok choy and zucchini noodles). It was so so good and satisfied my craving for lo mein.
In other news, I’m drinking (and eating)so much water I think I’m wearing a hole in the carpet leading up to my bathroom. But that’s good! (At least I’m making it to the bathroom).
My cravings are few and far between. I feel so great and I think today I felt that #tigerblood everyone keeps talking about.🐯 oh and here’s a #lanabanana for funsies. 🐶

Day 16 like a boss! I'm super into porny close-ups of orange colored oven fries lately. Tuna and almond salad at work (something I made up that works out for me a lot at work when everyone else is having pasta). Leftover pork, roasted broccoli, and a few dates for lunch. Burger and fries for dinner except I wasn't hungry so I ate like 3 pieces of sweet potato and made a leftover plate for later with the rest (not pictured: sauteed onions and peppers). Ended up only having a CoYo and can of V8 for dinner. The heart wants what it wants. #whole30 #iamwhole30 #januarywhole30
